EDITORIAL:

Dear Friends, Once again we come to another Kierkegaard year, and I am delighted to report two major Kierkegaard highlights, the Kierkegaard conference at the Hong Kierkegaard Library at St., Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota, June 11th - 15th and the Kierkegaard conference organized by the Japanese Kierkegaard Society (Kyoto) at Ormond College, University of Melbourne, December 2nd - 5th. I warmly commend both conferences to you. (For further details, please see under 05conferences.html).

I would also like to draw your attention to the Hong Kierkegaard Library appeal. The Library is currently attempting to raise funds in order to secure its future. It has been given a challenge grant of US $1 million that requires it to raise a matching amount. By December 31st 2004, the Library needed to raise 69,000 US dollars. It needs to raise a further US $500,000 by May 31st, 2005. Can you help? Will you consider a gift to help meet the challenge? Your support will be greatly appreciated. If you would like to help, please call 1.800.733.6523 at the Hong Kierkegaard Library to make a credit card gift over the phone, specifying that your gift is for the Hong Kierkegaard Library Appeal. Any help you can give will be gratefully received. For any further information please contact: Gordon Marino (marino@stolaf.edu).
