There is a Summer Scholars Fellowship Program, for a period of from 2 weeks to 3 months study, June 1 - November 15. Fellows receive free housing and a modest stipend ($250) for food.
The application deadline is March 1. Decisions can sometimes be made earlier than usual, in clear-cut cases. Awards are usually made to graduates/mature scholars, though undergraduates may be considered in exceptional cases. Please send a letter outlining your proposed research project, with reasons for wanting to use the book collection, 2 letters of recommendation and a c.v. to: Assoc. Prof.. Gordon Marino (details given above).

Kierkegaard House Foundation,, 5174 E. 90 Old Dutch Road, Northfield, Minnesota 55057: The above foundation aims to augment the visiting scholar program of the Kierkegaard Library at St. Olaf by offering long-term residencies for periods of 2 to 12 months. Each of the three apartments (2 two-bedroom, 1 one-bedroom) provides a living room, kitchen, bath, and single private quarters. The house is situated on the bank of Heath Creek within easy walking distance of the Kierkegaard Library. Supplementary scholarship grants for travel assistance and subsistence may also be made according to individual needs, as well as supplementary grants for the preparation of dissertations and manuscripts for publication.
